Our Story
Once upon a time a creative boy that was sick of seeing the same things over and over again decided to dream big and make a change himself. He just couldn’t stand it anymore; he didn’t want to wear another t-shirt with the same one-dimensional graphics and no real depth behind it again. He would sit in class and if he ever got bored (which was more often than not) he would flip a few pages back in his notebook and start to drift into thought and begin to sketch design ideas for t-shirts…
A little while passed and he and his best friend decided to make a little spending money during their down time and get summer jobs. When they applied to work at their former basketball coach’s company, they didn’t realize that they would be starting down the path to the fulfillment of a dream. Conversation quickly heated up and all his t-shirt aspirations came out. Along with their normal summer job responsibilities, they were also given the opportunity to create a clothing line, and of course, they started with creating t-shirts!
They were given an office space (Suite 230), which was actually a supply closet that wasn’t being used at the moment. Not knowing exactly where to start, and being both excited and shocked by their good fortune, Suite 230 became a place to "think" just what their ideal t-shirts would be. Unfortunately, thinking wasn’t something they could walk up to people and show them. Since they didn’t produce an actual tangible result, they were kicked out of their office for other uses. On a positive note, all that thinking by the two pals would eventually form the origin of a truly new venture, aptly named “Suite 230 Clothing”.
The name Suite 230 originated from here. It was the greatest gift ever given, but lead to a heartbreaking departure. Suite 230 reminds them of where they came from, and how it is a great part in making them who they are today. Suite 230 was a literal place, but more importantly, a figurative wonderland where the doors opened to wherever they wanted. Nothing in “Suite 230” was out of the question, and every idea, thought, and solution was analyzed and discussed until they couldn’t speak or think anymore. They may have been able to take the boys out of Suite 230, but they could never take the Suite 230 out of the boys.
Attending school and creating the clothing line was no easy task for the young students. When school was going smoothly, the business was falling apart, and when the business started to flow, then school became a problem. After a year and a half struggle, the boys found their creative balance, made an investment in research and development, and began to produce their first product, t-shirts!
It all started with a dream, a desire, and a lot of creativity and hard work to make it all a reality.
Founders behind Suite 230
Suite 230 Clothing is run by, long time best friends, Jack Rosen and Andy Stimmel. Both born and raised in Orlando, FL. These two have a dynamic chemistry that creates a powerful clothing line. Jack’s creative mindset leads the art side of the company and Andy’s strategic thinking drives the business end. Together they create an atmosphere both chaotically exciting yet business efficient. Just as Jack and Andy’s partnership exhibits personal trust, quality and commitment, the Suite 230 Company strives to create that same dynamic with each and every customer.
